S H O W S
Black-ish created by Kenya Barris: Black-ish is about a black middle-class family, that goes through everyday american life. This show gives an interesting insight to what some black families live and go through in their day-to-day life. This show is great and I highly recommend. You can find Black-ish on ABC.
All American created by April Blair: All American is about a black student named Spencer James, Spencer played football in a low-income area until Coach Baker recruits him. Coach Billy Baker is a coach at a rich school in Beverly Hills. The show follows Spence's transition from rags-to-riches, and show the many sacrifices he has to make. I definitely recommend this show its very interesting. All American can be watched on Netflix or the CW.
Atlanta created by Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino): Atlanta focuses on a Atlanta Rapper and his friend group. The rapper is Alfred Miles and he is managed by his cousin Earn. together Alfred and Earn along with their friends go through life living in Atlanta trying to make it in the music industry. Atlanta shows the street life that the characters go through, but also the realities of real life. I totally recommend this show, especially if you're a deep thinker. You can find Atlanta on Hulu.
